Parent FAQ's

Who will be supervising my child?

Each cabin is chaperoned by an adult and a junior counselor who have received appropriate background checks through the churches they represent. Campers will be accompanied by one or both of these counselors at all times. Campers will also interact with a variety of authorized and caring adults throughout each day's scheduled activities.

What if my child gets sick?

A registered nurse is available, on-site, around the clock. Most incidences of camper illness are minor and treatable with rest, hydration, and the pre-authorized administration of over-the-counter or Dr. prescribed medication. To prevent illness, campers are provided fluids throughout the day, bed time is scheduled from 10:00p.-7:30a., and there is a required 45 minute rest time each afternoon. If a child does get sick or injured, the nurse will contact a parent/guardian to discuss appropriate options for treatment.

What if my child gets homesick?

Honestly, the schedule is so full and fun, campers rarely become truly homesick! If they do miss home, it is usually around bed-time. Knowing this possibility, counselors will intentionally work to develop positive relationships and a true sense of security for each camper, and to alleviate any common anxieties that may arise.
Letters from home are a great prevention for home-sickness!

Will my child be able to call home?

There is only one phone at camp. This is used for emergency purposes only.
